2022 Recap Another year gone by at Turtons

Season’s greetings! Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a joyous New Year. A heartfelt thank you to our past and present customers for making this year truly remarkable. Our 2022 recap is a fun one…

It’s been an incredible journey filled with memorable places, wonderful people, and laughter. We feel truly blessed to do the work we love, exploring the breathtaking landscapes of the UK, from Thurso in the Highlands to assisting major removal companies throughout the North of England.

Reflecting on the year, our journey began in January with one working van and a hire. Despite challenges like an engine blowout at the end of 2021, we’ve ended the year with a fleet of three vans. From South Shields to Darlington, we’ve served communities in South Shields, Northumberland, Gateshead, Sunderland, and Durham. Collaborating with moving companies from Plymouth to the Highlands, we completed our largest move, a 6-bed property with stables and a double garage, in March.

Our adventures continued as we travelled to Birmingham in April and Worcester in July, providing packing and moving services. Summer brought new opportunities, and we acquired a waste permit for white glove service work, ensuring a seamless and traceless delivery experience. In August, we ventured to Essex for another packing, dismantling, and storage assignment, mirroring our April operation.

September marked a unique encounter with Louie the chicken during a move, sparking a personal commitment to rethink fast-food choices. We revisited Thurso in the Highlands, creating breathtaking memories once again. October saw us moving both of our neighbours, and November and December were dedicated to supporting our local food bank, Hospitality and Hope. Our director, Ben Turton, pledged to run 100 miles to raise funds, contributing to the cause amidst rising living costs. Though we fell short of the £500 goal, we successfully covered the distance and raised awareness.

Thank you for being part of our journey and we hope you enjoyed our 2022 recap! Here’s to more adventures and community support in the coming year!
